It was 1979, I was 12 and my mum finally left my dad and moved to London to retrain as a nurse. I was at boarding school and was informed she’d gone by my headmaster.

I sought solace in rhythm, The Police to be precise. I didn’t realise at the time but my sadness was to thrust me deep into drums and Stewart Copeland was my new rhythmic guru.

I knew there was something deeper in life, most likely due to how music made me feel in my core self, as I would feel incredible surges of passionate energy when listening to or playing along with songs on vinyl.

A few years later at 17 I met a great musical mentor who taught me so much about opening my eyes to see how to mess with the obvious interpretation of a song structure and to experiment. This blew my mind! Everything is possible, no limitations and no barriers to expressing oneself.

I moved from a small city to London and played my heart out in so many gigs and recordings, literally living my dream. Money was a by-product, for me it was all about the passion to create. I always remind young people of this now. Focus on what makes you feel alive and the rest will follow.

Through the 90s music platforms and record company stagnation wrestled with the transformation to a digital age. CDs were old skool and MP3 was the new way. The internet was slow and very few saw the potential to where we are now. Amazon only sold books! I could see the change happening and it was very exciting to be selling records and touring worldwide as an artist during this time. The energy of a growing internet virus that couldn’t be stopped.

A fallout with our manager and High Court legal proceedings dragged out and finally ended a great run. We won the court case but our passion had been ground down.

I moved behind the scenes and worked for some massively successful artists programming drums and playback on some amazing live global tours. For me there is nothing like being on stage looking out over thousands of people all releasing their passion for being there right in that moment with their favourite band. It is incredible being the focal point of all that human energy.

Energy is everything, it keeps us alive.

How to express this energy is our core drive to survive. Stop this or feel trapped and you start to shut down. 2020 has shown more than ever that when we are controlled by government, scientists, or any other negative force, we are not fulfilling our real purpose.

Bitcoin is an energy, a cyber force that has been created to break the old flawed system and open a path to a real sound money. In my lifetime I have never witnessed anything like this except when I felt the roar of a massive crowd full of passion.

Bitcoin is an expression of this energy, its rise aligned with the passion of all its developers, the fast expanding Bitcoin plebs, and the exponential viral spread through every area in our lives.

Never accept anything less than true passion, always follow your heart, it will work out! Massive respect to all Bitcoiners, new and experienced.

We are all One Energy.

This is Bitcoin.
